Melania Trump has spent a lot of time visiting others in the hospital, however, now, she’s the patient and needs support from others. As a matter of emergency, our incredible first lady, who never harms anyone or complains, has just undergone emergency surgery. Her physicians at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center near Washington, DC, have just issued a report on her condition.
Fox5 News reports:
First lady Melania Trump underwent kidney surgery Monday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center near Washington, DC, according to a statement from her office.
Trump had been experiencing an issue with her kidney that her office described as benign but requiring medical attention.
Trump, who turned 48 last month, entered Walter Reed in nearby Bethesda, Maryland, on Monday morning and is expected to remain hospitalized for several days following the operation, according to the statement from her communications director, Stephanie Grisham.
She is the first US first lady to undergo such a serious medical procedure while in the White House since Nancy Reagan had a mastectomy in October 1987. Rosalynn Carter underwent surgery to remove a benign lump from her breast in April 1977. Weeks after Betty Ford became first lady, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy in September 1974.
President Donald Trump remained in the White House during Melania Trump’s surgery.
The first lady did not move to Washington until six months into the administration, choosing to let their son, Barron, finish the 2017 school year in New York. More recently, Melania Trump has had a more public profile. On April 24, she and the President hosted the first official state dinner of the Trump administration, an event that was planned and executed primarily by the first lady.
“This morning, First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition. The procedure was successful and there were no complications,” the first lady’s communications director said in a statement Monday, according to Fox News. “The First Lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere.”
ABC7 adds more to the surgery and First Lady’s condition:
First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition on Monday, The White House said.
The procedure was successful and there were no complications.
Considering that President Trump didn’t accompany her to the hospital will likely result in a lot of criticism from the left. They will use any tragedy or other terrible situation to attack and take attention off the real issue. Melania herself has suffered an immense amount of criticism lately from the Stormy Daniels scandal to liberals massively insulting her over her “Be Best” anti-bullying campaign she just rolled out last week.
Now is not a time to pick sides, but to show compassion. There was undoubtedly a good reason why President Trump had to stay back at the White House, entrusting her to the best of the best, both with security and medical staff. We hope that Melania has a quick and comfortable recovery and are glad she got the help she did in time. This situation could have been far worse had she not had people looking out for her and attentive to her symptoms.
