We are in a political climate that the media has turned most of the left leaners into anti-gun fanatics. We have kids like David Hogg, trying to influence policy regarding gun control. There are cities across America enacting strict gun control measures, somehow believing that law bidding citizens should be regulated while the common criminal just laughs.
More cities are implementing gun free zones, thinking that the people inside “the zone” are safe from gun violence. There is a sheriff in Georgia that thinks a little differently. He has been attacked in the past by liberal media, but he couldn’t care less. He is a man that has strong beliefs about safety and the value of a gun.
According to Fox News, A Georgia sheriff, whose politically incorrect welcome sign went viral in 2015, has a new, bold message for visitors to his county.
“Our citizens have concealed weapons,” the welcome sign reads in part. “If you kill someone, we might kill you back.”
But it doesn’t stop there.
“Enjoy your stay!” the sign added. “We have ONE jail and 356 cemeteries.”
Jolley’s previous sign in 2015 defended the American flag and Christmas. He paid $553 for the sign out of his own pocket.
The text read: “WARNING: Harris County is politically incorrect. We say: Merry Christmas, God Bless America and In God We Trust. We salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you…LEAVE!”
At the time, Jolley told “FOX & Friends” he was “humbled” after receiving so much support, especially in his community, where he said people made supportive yard signs and t-shirts.
The politically incorrect sheriff didn’t shy away from talking about those who disagree with him, either.
“I spent 20 years in the army to give everyone the right to disagree with me or anyone else,” Jolley said. “Hopefully, if they disagree, they can voice that opinion. But if it offends them, truly offends them, maybe they’re in the wrong country.”
Sheriff Jolley is one of the reasons America is so great. He believes that a trained person with a concealed carry weapon makes citizens of his county safer, and he is right. So many times we see strict gun laws cost people their lives, not save them.
In the city of Chicago, with the strictest gun laws in the country, they have lost 578 lives in the last 365 days. It is the most dangerous city in America. The backward run city thinks by taking guns out of the hands of the regular law bidding citizens the criminals would also follow the laws and gun violence would simply go away. We need to elect more people like Sheriff Jolley into positions of power.
I bet when you drive into Harris County Georgia, you feel a little safer, the churches and schools feel safer. It’s probably a place where the kids safely play outside without parents worrying and constantly watching. When the folks in Harris County turn off the lights at night, they sleep well-knowing sheriff Jolley is on duty.
