Free speech should be available to all, regardless what side of the political aisle you’re on. Since the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida and the shooting in Las Vegas, people have been pushing the issue of gun control. It has been amazing to see how much hatred has shown toward those who aren’t against people owning guns.
Recently, one singer who is also a Trump supporter is receiving so much backlash on a picture that she posted on social media, that she has reason to fear for her life from these so-called “compassionate” leftists who feel that conservatives are murderous monsters. She is not harming anyone in with her statement or with her picture that was posted, so it is sickening to see how many people have taken such offense to it.
Pop star Kaya Jones rose to stardom as a fan favorite member of the girl group, Pussycat Dolls. She’s since become famous on her own and looks a lot different now than she did before, after having come out in support of Trump.
Conservative 101 reported, Singer Kaya Jones who got famous for being a member of the Pussycat Dolls, announced her love of guns and the NRA on Twitter. Liberals attacked her viciously for stating her opinions but she crushed them all.
“I love guns! I find comfort knowing I can stand up for myself if anyone ever tries to inflict harm on me. I respect guns beyond words. I learned long ago in Iraq while on tour for our military how to use them & never stopped learning. I am a proud gun owner. #IAmTheNRA @NRA” tweeted Jones with a photo of her with a gun.
Then came the liberal trolls. “I love my kids. I love them beyond words. Their lives, their future, their safety matter more than your personal insecurities and creepy fetish. #NeverAgain #GunReformNow” wrote one user.

“My rights are exactly that mine. You have yours as well. It’s called freedom,” responded Jones. “The right of my children to live supersedes your weird need to stockpile weapons of war as a salve for personal fear. Sorry,” responded another user. “You should move to Canada if you really feel that way,” responded Jones. Damn!
This singer shouldn’t be ruthlessly attacked for using her First Amendment right to defend her Second Amendment right. With the anti-sex abuse theme in Hollywood right now, where are all the activists protesting rappers and other artist’s sexually repulsive lyrics and negative view of women? The outrage is misguided on the gun issue and not the other that celebrities pretend to be passionate about, but consistently prove otherwise.
In this current climate, with such a massive push for gun control from every celebrity or person a platform, it’s a brave act to go against the popular opinion. Even for those who don’t agree with her, she should be respected for expressing her truth in a way that doesn’t demean or attack anyone. So, it’s disturbing that that’s exactly what she got in return.
