Miley Cyrus has been very outspoken about her distaste for the First Family even though she admitted that she would “accept” him as the president after he was elected. As we previously reported, Miley was one of the many celebrities who promised to renounce their U.S. citizenship and leave the country if Donald Trump became our president. After a year of him being her president, she finally decided to leave the country in search of a new role in a different land.
Unfortunately, that happened to be short-lived and nothing more than a trip to the other side of the world with her man back to where he’s from in Australia. No surprise that she doesn’t have it in her to do as she promised and has even been called out frequently over why she never left and could only answer with excuses.
She is learning the hard way that her distaste for the First Family is only coming back to haunt her. Celebrities need to remember that things don’t always end well for them after they bad mouth the president and his family. It’s called the “trump curse” and famous people who slam them suffer irreparable damage to their careers or reputation. Luckily Trump has many of his own supporters who won’t let these “A-List” celebs take over America. Sometimes they need to stick to what they do best and leave the politics to people who know what they are doing.
According to the Mirror, Miley Cyrus has thrown some serious shade at soon to be first lady Melania Trump after threatening to LEAVE the country if her husband Donald Trump won the election.
The actress and singer made it pretty obvious which presidential candidates she supported throughout the election campaign, and let’s just say she’s not the Trump family’s biggest fan.
She even said she would move out of the country in a foul-mouthed rant on Instagram earlier this year, adding: “I don’t say things I don’t mean!”
But she was a graceful loser and in an emotional plea posted on Twitter last week said she would “accept” Trump as president, despite admitting it “hurts to say”.
Now the Party in the USA singer appears to be throwing shade at the future FLOTUS by tweeting out a screenshot of Melania gushing about hearing Miley’s song “Wrecking Ball” on the radio.
She posted a screenshot of the former model’s tweet but presented it without a caption – saying more by saying nothing.
Miley’s fans backed the star, with one labeling her the “queen of shade”.
Another posted: “Keep throwing that shade.”
It’s obvious that the 23-year-old singer is not yet over the election result and the loss of both her preferred candidates – first Bernie Sanders and then Hillary Clinton.
The Democrat candidate won the popular vote in the election but did not win enough electoral college votes to secure the 45th presidency.
When news of Trump’s victory broke Miley broke down in tears and posted an emotional video addressing the president-elect and encouraging him to “treat people with love” and respect during his term.
“This hurts to say, but I ever accept you as the President of the United States, and that’s fine… because I think now I want to be hopeful,” she said in a video on Twitter.
“Please, please just treat people with love and treat people with compassion and treat people with respect, and I will do the same for you.”
She added: “And happy hippies, we adjust and we accept everyone for who they are. And so Donald Trump, I accept you.”
Miley needs to remember how to be accepting of everyone as she vowed to after Trump was elected and stick to her “happy hippie” ways and treat people with love and respect.
